 WORKSHOP DETAILS

Day 1-5: Core Method Acting & Scene Work with David Lee Strasberg

This workshop guides the students as they gain a deeper grasp of the complexities of a character by examining the dramatic elements of the material. The goal is to move beyond conventional choices and use Method Acting techniques to develop a more artistic and authentic characterization of the scenes.

Relaxation & Sensory Exercises – The first part of each Method Acting class begins with Lee Strasberg’s relaxation technique and then moves to his sequence of sensory exercises which train the actor’s concentration, ability to respond to imaginary objects, and organic expression.

Scene Work & Character Development – Every day, participants will focus on scene work. Actors will apply the techniques from the sensory exercises to their scenes, learning how to create fully developed, authentic portrayals of complex roles.

Emotional Memory – Actors will explore the power of emotional memory, a key Strasberg technique,  to deepen their connection to the character and develop emotional truth.

On-Camera Acting – Participants will get a day to focus on acting on camera, helping them develop the skills needed to deliver truthful performances in front of the camera. Actors will perform scenes, receive feedback, and practice techniques to enhance their on-screen presence.

Individual & Group Feedback – Actors will receive personalized feedback on their performances, with guidance from David Strasberg on refining their technique and expanding your emotional range.

*each class is 6 hours long
